Manifesting a Free Flight Upgrade 👀

Manifesting is “the act of making something happen by imagining it and believing that it will happen.” Can you get a free upgrade simply by wanting it really badly? It’s bullshit, but some people want you to think it works:

Silly me, I’ve been using research! Like learning how to get status cheaply. Then, using tools like ExpertFlyer (AD) or the airline’s website to look at capacity to score an upgrade. Sometimes I call the airline asking what the fare difference is between classes to pay for an upgrade when I notice that business class isn’t selling well on an upcoming flight.
However, this whole time – I could have just been manifesting. You just focus on it, without taking any kind of real action – and it will happen. And if it doesn’t happen, the universe had a reason. This is complete nonsense.
There’s often a point in these tales where the real upgrade reason is revealed. Spoiler: it wasn’t a manifestation. For Differently Moi, she had a mixed fare class ticket, where her outbound was a business fare but her return was premium economy with an economy leg. This would put her right under elite status fliers on the upgrade list and above all other economy passengers based on her total fare price.
It’s kind of suspicious how many manifesting content creators have things to sell. Nonetheless, there are solutions to problems in our lives that require no new age reinventing. Stop giving these people your time and attention.
