TacTac Taco’s – Authentic French Tacos in Germany…

Mexican food, is the best food. I know all the dishes (or so I thought). It would be my last meal, that’s why I was confused by this fast food chain in Germany – TacTac Taco’s – Authentic French Tacos. While I didn’t have time to try it, it’s been on my mind. Let’s break this down:

What is a French taco? Their FAQ says “French Taco is a French street food dish that consists of meat, French fries and vegetables wrapped in a soft tortilla.” There is a Wikipedia article that explains more. The common theme is French fries in said taco (even though fries are of Belgian origin).

Why do they only have locations in Germany and Switzerland? Still unknown.

How can it be authentic if not French? A German company with no roots to France. However, Germany has a large halal foods community.

Why is there an apostrophe on Taco’s? No clue on this.

Why call it a taco, it’s a burrito? Unclear as it has been called “a rather successful marriage between panini, kebab, and burrito.” I will be back in Germany in November to try it out.
