The Airport Espresso Martini Hack – consuming your own alcohol in airports

Social media is blowing up with people consuming their own alcohol in airports. This is illegal in most airports by local liquor laws but allowed through TSA. With many knock-offs going viral, the most popular are about DIY Airport Espresso Martinis. One video says it’s “2 shots espresso, venti cup with ice, 1 vodka nip, 1 baileys nip, 1 Kahlua nip“:

Yes, bringing little bottles / nips through TSA is legit, however:

• The bottles must be 3.4 ounces or less via TSA
• You must follow the 3-1-1 rule, all liquids must fit a quart-sized bag (per passenger)
• It is illegal to consume your own alcohol in most airports (ex: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)
• It is illegal to drink your own alcohol on an aircraft by federal law 121.575
• Bailey’s does not belong in a martini IMHO
