Wrong About Real ID

It’s rare when the left and right agree: no one really wanted to roll out Real ID. However, chaos and mayhem did NOT happen on May 7. Over 80% of people were presenting a compliant form of ID prior to the deadline, so maybe 500,000 would be turned away. A drop in the bucket. The government wisely softened a bit to give harder warnings – so no one was rejected. Very reasonable, flying isn’t more dangerous today as tomorrow with Real ID anyhow.

Whatever your views, there’s always someone more extreme in the world… on every topic… everyday. I expected long lines, it didn’t happen. An anti-fascist inflection point, of course not (this must be sarcasm, right? Right?).
