James’ Favorite Things
I channel my inner Oprah to create a basket of my favorite things as gifts for my staff every year. So why not share my top 5 with you? Only things I have personally purchased go on my lists. This year, I cheated a bit by purchasing Universal Yums subscriptions for my team. Not all my favorite things are good for a basket (see #1) or my employees, so this is a chance to share more items. Now on to the list in no particular order:
1. Vasectomy
This is not a great gift, or maybe it is? Either way, it has turned out to be one of my favorite things of 2021. Dudes, don’t be scared, see Dr. John Mai.
2. About Vintage 1844 Chronograph
For my wedding watch, I wanted a vintage design to compliment the winery setting. Quick shipping from Denmark and the bands are easy to change.
3. Santos Rosewood Ring
Also pictured above, is a rosewood ring with a copper inlay. I don’t like to wear rings but it is so light you forget it is on your finger. Thanks Wade!
4. Wine
This was a year of great wine drinking. Ponzi and Blakeslee were tops for Oregon pinot noir in the red category. In whites, I enjoyed the moschofilero & assyrtiko styles from Greece.
5. Universal Yums
Not being able to sit down and break bread with my team this year was hard. Universal Yums (affiliate link) offers an opportunity to have a shared experience each month. A box of treats is delivered each month from a world destination.
